I am most pleased to welcome each and every one of you to this blog, a blog dedicated to your Summer reading requirement for the IB program (rhetorical device = anadiplosis). If I am correctly informed, you will be reading Homer's The Odyssey, as translated by Allen Mandelbaum in a poetic form. This book retells the tale of Odysseus and his long journey to return to his wife, son, and home after fighting in the Trojan War (see Homer's The Illiad).
Please sign in using the comments section. It really does make a difference if I know which of my former students (sniffle) are participating.
We shall begin our postings and discussions at the end of June. Thank you once again for making the effort to arrive here. Now, stay here until we are done.
Mr. Matluck
I am very sorry that I have not gotten on here sooner. I finally received the book from the mail and started reading it last night. I was surprised at the level of complexity it had. I had to read the verses a couple times over to fully understand them. Thank you so much for doing this blog. It will be a great help to me and any others who are going on this for guidance. I will get on here I much as I can. Thank you again!
